How To Prevent A Yeast Infection Or At Least Minimize Your Chances
When you start your day you prepare. Breakfast, makeup, and all the rest of those things on your
check list. Changing your routine just a little bit during the day can dramatically decrease your chances of a miserable yeast infection.
- Wear clothes made of natural fibers. Cotton, linen and silk wick away moisture from your body. Synthetics act like plastic wrap trapping the moisture close to your body.
- Use unscented soaps for you and your clothes. Many women swear by unscented Dove and Dreft for their clothes. Perfumes don't cause yeast infections, they can irritate sensitive tissue. Irritation can set up the condition for those pesky candida alibans to overgrow causing a yeast infection.
- Avoid tight pants and thongs. You know you are hot, but trapping all that heat means it's perfect for the yeast to really overgrow.
- If you're going to sit around in a swim suit, make it a dry one. Wet bathing suits are an invitation for yeast to grow.
- Eat yogurt with live cultures especially when you are feeling stressed. Stress can decrease the balance in the vagina. So eat yogurt, enjoy and help yourself at the same time. Start a holistic plan to eliminate yeast infections from your life.
- If you're a diabetic, keep your blood sugar level as normal as possible. It's moderation that works.
- Decrease the number of hot tub baths or time in the hot tub. The heat, the moisture, hey you know what happens…
And if you do get a yeast infection follow a plan to eliminate future infections from your life.
