The yeast infection doesn't go away permanently with treatment but comes back again and again. Just when you thought it was over, then back it comes.

But you're not the only one, other women also end up with the chronic yeast infection, or ping pong yeast infection. If it’s a chronic in nature then it is the time for action.

This means you're going to have to be proactive. And find a solution to the issue. This infection is due towards the overgrowth of fungus called Candida Albicans inside the system. If this fungus is present in balance than it does not interfere with body functions but when there is an imbalance –watch out.

Candida Albicans yeast infections can multiply very quickly especially when unchecked. The problem can cause both short term and chronic health difficulties for men and women.

If you think you have a yeast infection during your period, and the irritation is primarily on the area just above the clitoris (called the mons pubis) then you need to rule out other causes as well. If you use sanitary napkins or minipads you may not have a yeast infection but a reaction to the sanitary napkin or minipad. This often happens when women use fragranced or 'deodorized' minipads. That's not to say you can't get a yeast infection during your menstrual cycle. With the changing hormones during your menses, it is entirely possible for the yeast Candida Albicans to overgrow and cause the yeast infection.

Chronic yeast infection is often resistant to the medications prescribed by the doctors. It can be controlled only for a short period of time and will remain dormant for only a short span of time. This chronic or recurrent yeast infection is triggered by yeast spores which are cyclical in nature and become active after particular period of time. Basically not everything that needs to get killed is killed by the medication and so the infection returns.

One of the reasons behind chronic yeast infection may be the level of tension inside your life. With a stressful life, the hormones that let us cope with stress, can have other changes inside the body. This can cause a condition which lets the Candida overgrow. The tension upsets your internal balance of hormones and bacteria. The imbalance leads to the yeast or Candida Albicans overgrowing thus becoming a yeast infection. Try whenever feasible to minimize stress in your daily routine.

Secondly, diet can play a big role in chronic yeast infections. Having a stable blood sugar decreases the chance of chronic yeast overgrowth. Minimize the amount of sugar in your diet.

Thirdly, unprotected sex, can lead to ping pong yeast infections. If you are infected then you and your partner can pass it back and forth multiple times. If you have a yeast infection, avoid sex until your yeast infection is under control.

Fourthly, medications like birth control pills and antibiotics change the normal working of your system functions. Antibiotics will not only treat your sore throat, but also kill the helpful bacteria inside your vagina. This can lead to a yeast infection. Birth control pills prevent pregnancies via their hormones, but the hormones also change the composition of fluids in your vagina which can encourage the overgrowth of yeas.

Finally, poor self care and personal hygiene can lead to your experiencing chronic yeast infections. Avoid wet clothes like wet bathing suits. Good personal hygiene is important, so keep yourself dry and clean. Hygiene sprays and douching is not needed. In fact, these items can often upset the delicate vaginal area and lead to irritation and sometimes yeast infections. Wear nightgowns instead of pajamas to let your genitals stay dry.

Don't ignore chronic yeast infections. Remember if you have a yeast infection more than 3-4 times a year, you may have a chronic yeast infection problem. Be observant and note what happens just before the yeast infection symptoms start.

Did you go swimming?

Start antibiotics?

Wear tight jeans?

Write your activities down as this can help you treat the chronic yeast infection problem. Then take your notes to your healthcare provider and have them do a microscopic exam of the fluids/ discharge from your vagina. You may have an allergy or sensitivity causing the problem. Or you could have some conditions like diabetes or immune disorders which can make a yeast infection chronic. It's important to know the cause of the symptoms, before you start treatment for recurrent yeast infections.

A yeast infection is not really an infection at all. Yeast infections, as they are known, are caused by an overgrowth of a fungus. The most common type of fungus that causes a yeast infection is Candida Albicans.

Women tend to experience more yeast infections than men. This is due to the unique anatomy of women which lets yeast overgrow. In our vaginas the yeast which live there normally are kept under control by lactobacilli. The lactobacilli control the yeast fungus. But sometimes stress, antibiotics or other causes kill the lactobacilli or make them ineffective. When this happens, the yeast overgrow and we have a 'yeast infection.'

Many women are used to choosing an over the counter solution for yeast infections like Monistat. While over the counter solutions can work, there are other ways to learn how to treat a yeast infection naturally.

Now most doctors do not discuss how to treat a yeast infection naturally with their patients. So where do you start? Natural remedies for yeast infection start with a healthy diet. Including fresh foods like vegetables, fruit, and yogurt are helpful to getting the body back to a state of optimal balance. Eating active culture yogurt can restore the bacterial level in your digestive system.

I know it sounds weird, but the bacteria in our digestive system and in our vaginas actually protect us from the overgrowth of yeast. This is one instance where bacteria is not only helpful but essential for our good health. So include some active culture yogurt in your diet today!

Make sure you read the label before you buy the yogurt as not all yogurts are the same. The yogurt needs to say, “Active cultures” in the list of ingredients.

Need to get on the path to healthy eating but cooking for the family too? Take a look at this cookbook which is great for family friendly recipes to get rid of yeast infections, yet the recipes taste good.

Here is some information about the eating plans they use.

Candida Albicans is the fungus, which causes the yeast infection known as candidiasis. Candidia lives inside each one of us normally. It doesn’t cause a problem most of the time unless it gets out of control or overgrows.

The yeast has a chance to overgrow because the body’s normal defenses are not able to keep it in balance. That’s why having a healthy diet can be so important.

A healthy diet is one that is well balanced in protein, vegetables, fruits, herbs, whole grains and carbohydrates. Like all healthy diets it is important to minimize the amount of antibiotic fed meats eaten.

Many of those who have treated themselves with a Candida diet have found limiting their carbohydrates and yeast-based foods helps. This means breads, and pastries are out.

Healthy diets can build up your body’s natural defense system, your immune system that will help your body fight the overgrowth of the Candida.

With the incorrect use of some of the over the counter medications, more and more yeast infections are becoming resistant to many of the medications available for treatment of yeast infections. This is why it is so important to build up your body and your body’s defense system through a healthy diet.

Diets can be a challenge to stay on particularly if you are cooking for a family. You don’t want to cook multiple meals. You’d feel like a short order cook for a diner. That’s where the yeast free cooking recipes come in. Lori came up with delicious family friendly recipes.

You’ll find great crock-pot recipes, desserts like apple crisp and carrot pudding. Your family will enjoy the food and your health will improve as well. So take the time to get your copy of Yeast Free Cooking Recipes now.

Candida Albicans is a yeast that takes grows in the human body naturally. Problems occur when there is an imbalance of microorganisms causing yeast organisms to reproduce and take over healthy microorganisms. When this happens it will result in a yeast infection.

The most common Candida symptoms are inflammation and itching of the vagina, rectal itching, bizarre craving for sweets and alcohol, migraine, fatigue, mood swings, inability to think clearly or concentrate, poor memory, indigestion, thrush, low sex drive and chronic pain.

The brain is the major organ of the body most often affected by Candida Symptoms. Other than the brain yeast infection also affects the nervous, cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, endocrine, musculoskeletal and reproductive systems. Candidiasis symptoms are highly individualized. It can vary from one person to another.

A diet high in sugar and the overuse of antibiotics are the major contributors of yeast infection. In order to reduce Candida symptoms try to refrain from taking antibiotics unless necessary. Instead look for any possible alternatives or options. Ask your healthcare provider if the antibiotic prescription is truly needed.

The next important step is to follow a special Candida diet . A diet high in sugar is more likely to feed the yeasts in the body causing worsening of yeast infection. Include in the diet eggs, meat, vegetables, brown rice, potatoes and yogurt. These foods are the best foods recommended by physicians.

Physicians may prescribe OTC (over-the-counter) drugs such as Nystatin, Diflucan or Nizoral. But, it is best to seek for medical advice first before using any medication or drug to reduce some health risks and the possibility of an incorrect diagnosis.

One way to prevent yeast infection is to keep home environment clean, healthy and non-toxic. A toxic environment may weaken the immune system causing yeasts to overgrow in the body. To maintain a healthy environment clean supplies, furniture, and personal items using toxic-free cleaning agents.

There are many different approaches and methods available in the market. That is why it's important to have a thorough understanding of Candida, its symptoms, prevention and treatments. Choosing products without detailed understanding can hinder a fast recovery from yeast infection.

Yeast infection treatments come in many different forms. They often have results that are dissimilar to one another. But if the methods are not used properly, you can end up with a treatment that does not work. As an added benefit some yeast infection treatments may also strengthen your body's defenses against yeast infection.

Vaginal yeast infection is caused by a fungus called Candida Albicans. The medical term for yeast infection is Candidasis. This kind of infection causes itching, soreness and redness. It needs to be treated promptly. This is particularly important if a woman is pregnant as it avoids complications.

Seeking medical advice is necessary when you think you have a yeast infection. This is important to have an accurate diagnosis. Without an accurate diagnosis you could use the wrong treatment or even end up treating an infection not caused by yeast.

There are many natural ways to fight vaginal yeast infections. Dietary changes are invaluable for prevention and also treatment of yeast infections. The major components of the diet should include fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fish and poultry, oat bran. Most importantly large amounts of water. Another helpful food is yogurt. The bacterium in yogurt, the acidophilus, fights yeast by creating hydrogen peroxide. This makes it difficult for the yeast to grow.

Minimize the stress in your life! Meditation can be a valuable way of decreasing your stress. When we get stressed or overtired it makes it difficult for our body to compensate. Also though it is convenient fast food or junk food doesn’t provide the nutrients our body needs normally, let alone during a stressful time.

Finally if you are a female, be careful with scented products. Douches, feminine hygiene sprays and antibacterial or scented soaps can throw off the ph of our skin and vagina. The change in pH can lead to a chronic yeast infection.

A holistic plan that includes diet, stress level, exercise, and personal products is needed to prevent recurrent or chronic yeast infections. When the plan is set up to fit your life the chronic yeast infections will become chronic no more.
